What are we doing?
The creative industry does a good job – some would say too good of a job – celebrating, discussing, and awarding creative work.
However, it does little to discuss the how – how the work gets made, the agency runs, the projects are scoped, the budget and timelines determined, the contracts negotiated, the salaries paid – behind all of that work.
The problem is, we’re all working from the outside when it comes to agency operations, best practices, and how the business of design works.
The Agency Operators Forum aims to be a resource for those who lead or operate an agency (in-house or external) to share their insights, failures, successes, and anxieties of running a company.
Our hope is that we can create a foundation of shared knowledge, processes, and best practices that benefit all of us.
The idea is nascent, so we’re reaching out to our colleagues, peers, and network for your input to inform how the Forum can come to life in ways that are relevant and effective.
Once we have received input, we will follow up in the coming weeks with how the Forum will take shape.
The Agency Operators forum is an initiative from The New Company. While our agency doesn’t participate in award shows, we do believe in creative and operational excellence.
